A leading boutique private equity firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director to join its investment team. This is a senior leadership role responsible for originating, executing, and managing private equity investments across the GCC, while contributing to portfolio value creation and firm-wide strategic initiatives.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will possess a strong investment track record, deep regional market knowledge, and the ability to lead complex transactions from sourcing through exit.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Origination & Execution
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities across target sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners, advisors, family offices, and corporate executives.
- Lead due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, legal, and operational reviews.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations.
- Structure, negotiate, and execute investment transactions.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic growth initiatives.
- Monitor financial and operational performance against investment plans.
- Support governance activities, including board participation and stakeholder management.
- Identify and execute value enhancement and exit strategies.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Mentor and develop junior investment professionals.
- Present investment opportunities and portfolio updates to the Investment Committee.
- Build strong relationships with institutional investors, family groups, and strategic partners.
- Contribute to fundraising, investor relations, and market positioning activities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- MBA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or principal investing.
- Demonstrated experience leading M&A and private equity transactions.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise.
- Experience managing portfolio companies and board-level stakeholders.
- Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
- GCC private equity investment experience.
- Established network within Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.
- Experience working with founder-led businesses, family groups, and mid-market companies.
- Strong understanding of Saudi market dynamics and Vision 2030 investment themes.
