About the role

A well-established and growing financial services organization based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance function. The company operates in a regulated environment and is focused on delivering innovative financial solutions while maintaining the highest standards of governance, compliance, and operational excellence.

This is a strategic leadership role for a commercially driven finance executive with extensive experience in financial services, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to support business growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in line with business objectives.
• Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee treasury, liquidity management, capital planning, and cash flow optimization.
• Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, banking partners, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, taxation, AML, and corporate governance requirements.
• Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Drive business performance through financial modelling, commercial analysis, and profitability improvement initiatives.
• Lead fundraising activities, debt financing, and capital allocation strategies where applicable.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and financial governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA is essential. An MBA is advantageous.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or Finance Director leadership role.
• Strong background within financial services, banking, fintech, investment management, insurance, wealth management, or lending institutions.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working within regulated financial institutions in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven experience supporting business growth.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience presenting to executive committees, boards, and investors.
