AI Lead – Fintech

About the Role

A fast-growing FinTech company in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire an experienced AI Manager / AI Lead to drive the development and implementation of AI-powered solutions across its financial technology platform.

This is a key opportunity for an AI professional who can combine technical expertise with commercial understanding, helping the business leverage artificial intelligence to improve financial products, customer experiences, automation and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of AI and Machine Learning initiatives across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and automation to FinTech use cases.
  • Develop and deploy AI/ML models for areas such as fraud detection, credit risk, customer analytics, financial forecasting and personalisation.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to translate business challenges into AI solutions.
  • Lead the full AI lifecycle, from ideation and data preparation through to model development, deployment and monitoring.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess their potential application within the FinTech environment.
  • Develop and maintain scalable AI/ML solutions and data pipelines.
  • Establish best practices around model governance, AI risk, data quality and responsible AI.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, AI providers and external partners where required.
  • Mentor and develop AI, data science, and machine-learning professionals.
  • Present AI strategies, opportunities, and business impact to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or related technology roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, machine learning frameworks and data technologies.
  • Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, NLP and/or predictive analytics.
  • Experience within FinTech, banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of financial services use cases such as credit scoring, fraud detection, risk analytics, customer intelligence or financial automation.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, AI governance and model risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC would be advantageous.
