About the role
Our client is a leading government entity in the UAE responsible for driving the nation’s clean energy transition and supporting national sustainability targets. The organization plays a key role in developing and implementing renewable energy initiatives aligned with the UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and Net Zero objectives.
The Renewable Energy Manager will lead the planning, development, and implementation of renewable energy projects and initiatives across the Emirate. This role will contribute to strategic programs focused on solar energy, clean technologies, and energy transition, while ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and national sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of renewable energy projects, particularly utility-scale solar PV and clean energy initiatives.
- Support the implementation of government renewable energy strategies, policies, and programs.
- Manage the full project lifecycle including feasibility studies, technical evaluation, procurement, and project delivery.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, regulators, utilities, developers, and consultants.
- Evaluate technical and commercial proposals from developers and partners.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
- Provide technical expertise to support policy development and strategic energy initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support public-private partnership (PPP) renewable energy initiatives.
- Stay informed of global renewable energy trends, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7–12 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, or utilities.
- Proven experience managing solar PV or clean energy projects, preferably within government, utilities, or large developers.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE energy sector regulations and policies is highly desirable.
- Experience working with government entities, utilities, or regulatory authorities preferred.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
