About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on AI Manager to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions within a fast-growing FinTech environment in Dubai. This role will drive innovation across payments, risk, fraud detection, credit scoring, customer experience, and operational automation.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, and Compliance teams to build scalable AI solutions that directly impact business performance and customer outcomes.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s AI strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end AI/ML model development (design, training, validation, deployment, monitoring)
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of data scientists and ML engineers
  • Oversee implementation of AI solutions in areas such as:
    • Fraud detection & AML monitoring
    • Credit risk modeling
    • Predictive analytics
    • NLP-powered customer service solutions
    • Process automation
  • Ensure AI governance, model explainability, fairness, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new AI-driven revenue opportunities
  • Manage third-party AI vendors and partnerships where applicable
  • Establish best practices for MLOps, model lifecycle management, and data quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or related field
  • 6–10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience within FinTech, banking, payments, or digital financial services is essential
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, AML frameworks, and data privacy standards
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with real-time fraud detection systems
  • Knowledge of generative AI applications in financial services
  • Experience with MLOps tools and scalable data pipelines
  • Regional experience within the UAE/GCC market
